This is an unpainted KIT  model of a George Washington class submarine  in 1250 scale made by Mountford Models in metal. This was a class of nuclear powered ballistic missile subs which were part of the US nuclear deterrent in the late 1980’s. Length 116m 382ft Beam 10m 33ft   Displacement 6709 tonnes. Crew 140 Top speed 22knots. This model is about 3.5inches or 95 mms in length. Sold bagged and packaged in a jiffy bag. ref MM290KIT
