Here is a model of  the new Royal Navy frigate the Type 31 now known as the “Inspiration Class”.  Commissioned in 2019  these ships will replace some of the type 23 frigates. Type 31 is a general purpose frigate weighing about 6283 tons and 138metres in length (455 ft). Speed in excess of 28 knots, crew up to 160.Arms 24 missile pods, 57mm and 2 40mm guns. Wildcat or Merlin capable with hangar.  4 boat bays for RHIBS. There are plans for five of this class to be built initially with the first in water in 2023. September 2021 the first steel was cut of HMS Venturer, at Rosyth.  Other names will be HMS Active, Bulldog, Campbeltown and Formidable.
