With this release we have now covered all of the major planes that served with the US Navy since WW2 enabling carrier battle fleets to be loaded up with all of the kit. Here is a new and highly detailed model of the ship RFA Sir Bedivere SLEP (modernised)version. L3004. She was commissioned in 1967 and saw extensive service in many naval operations since. Her home port was Marchwood. In 1982 at Ascension she picked up the sappers of 11 Field Squadron Royal Engineers.She suffered slight damage whilst lying in San Carlos Water when a Skyhawk dropped a bomb that glanced off the ship. In 1994, the ship was modernised in a service life extension programme to give it an extra 15 years. The ship was lengthened by 12 m, had superstructure altered, new engines and the ship's bow thrusters were improved. This model is of the modernised version. SLEP. After returning to service in 1998, the ship was sent to Sierra Leone in 2000, and in 2002 the Mediterranean and was diverted to the Persian Gulf accompanied by four British minesweepers. The ship returned to the U.K. in May 2003, carrying the boats and men of 539 Assault Squadron RM. In 2008, she was sold to Brazil, joining her sister ship Sir Galahad (XAS 003). She was handed over in 2009, after a major refit in Falmouth. She was renamed NDCC Almirante Saboia (G-25). Thanks to Wikipedia for info. This is the first in our range of River Class Ships of the Royal Navy, HMS Severn Pennant P282.
She is a multi purpose modern ship designed for various roles according to the equipment fitted. This model has a cannon and a 25 tonne crane fitted. She is 1900 tons, 80metres or 260ft with a crew of 30. HMS Severn is part of Batch 1. The model is about 65mm long and comes in its own box. Ref N14 -
This is the second model in our range of River Class Ships of the Royal Navy. HMS Tyne P281 is a Batch 1 ship of 1900 tonnes. She is 80metres or 260ft long and has armament of cannon, a Phalanx system and 2 GP machine guns. The model from CNCollectables is metal and about 65mm long and comes in its own box. ref N13.

This is an unmade kit of a Z28 class patrol boat in the Argentine Navy which was captured and renamed HMS Tiger Bay by the crew of HMS Cardiff. There were 20 of these boats in the Argentine Navy. It would be a useful small boat for many harbour scenarios.

This is a painted and complete model of a George Washington class submarine in 1250 scale made by CNCollectables in metal. This was a class of nuclear powered ballistic missile subs which were part of the US nuclear deterrent in the late 1980’s. Length 116m 382ft Beam 10m 33ft Displacement 6709 tonnes. Crew 140 Top speed 22knots. This model is about 3.5inches or 95 mms in length. Sold unboxed and packaged in a jiffy bag. ref S39

In the last few years most of the type 23s have undergone service life extension servicing at the Devonport Frigate Complex.
