1st Series M790 HMS Volage frigate in blue. This is a model from the First series of Triang Minic ships which were made from 1958 to 1964. Triang code M790. Well worn condition. 55 years old. This is about 4 inches long. 100mm. My ref W72.
HMS Volage one of the Royal Navy's five ship "V" Class 1st Rate Fast Anti-Submarine Frigates which were conversions of the remaining ships from the eight ship flotilla of "Valentine" Class destroyers that were laid down, built and commissioned during the Second World War. -

Remodelled in metal this is HMS Antrim D18 County Class Destroyer Batch 2. 6200 tons, 520 ft or 160m long and armed with twin 4.5inch guns, torpedoes and exocet. She had a hangar for a Wessex. The model is 125mms or 5inches in length. ref N54-18

Remodelled in metal this is HMS Active F171 Amazon Class Type 21 frigate. She was 3250 tons, 384ft or 117m and armed with 4.5inch gun, Exocet missiles and torpedoes. She also carried a Wasp helicopter. Model length is 108mms or 4 icnhes. ref N55-171.
