1st Series M790 HMS Volage frigate in blue. This is a model from the First series of Triang Minic ships which were made from 1958 to 1964. Triang code M790. Well worn condition. 55 years old. This is about 4 inches long. 100mm. My ref W72.
HMS Volage one of the Royal Navy's five ship "V" Class 1st Rate Fast Anti-Submarine Frigates which were conversions of the remaining ships from the eight ship flotilla of "Valentine" Class destroyers that were laid down, built and commissioned during the Second World War. -
This is a painted and complete metal model of HMS Upholder the first of a new class of diesel electric submarines intended to replace the Oberon class. Built late 80's early 90's then mothballed and then sold to Canada and renamed. So a very useful model for any scenario. This is about 2.5 inches or 60mm in length. unboxed and wrapped in a jiffy bag. Newly made as per September 2021 ref S12

In the last few years most of the type 23s have undergone service life extension servicing at the Devonport Frigate Complex.
