This is a model from the second series of Triang Minic ships made in the 70s under the Hornby name. This is SS United States, holder of the Blue Riband at various times for the fastest travel cross the Atlantic. A great liner from the age of transatlantic luxury. She is 10 inches long or 250mm. Here is a highly detailed model of the famous carrier HMS Hermes R12 in her 1977 role as a Commando Helicopter Carrier.. Scale is 1/1250. from CN Collectables (CNC). Size is 7+ inches or 180mms in length. In a secure box. This example has a detached island and just needs a bit of glue to slot back in. Otherwise a new and good condition ship. Ref X104 -
Here is a highly detailed model of the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Centaur RO6. She was the first of the four Centaur class light fleet aircraft carriers of the Navy. She was the only ship of her class to be completed with the original design configuration of a straight axial flight deck, rather than the newly invented angled flight deck.. She was laid down in 1944 in Belfast with Harland and Wolff and launched in April 1947. Crew 1367 Max speed 28knots. 24000 tonnes. 737ft long, 123ft beam. Scale is 1/1250. It is made of resin by CNCollectables. This example has been around in the stock room for a while. I think that it was a sample guide for painting a batch of them. It's a very fine model and we wont be making any more most probably. ref X103. -

This is a model from the First series of Triang Minic ships which were made from 1958 to 1964 and this was made in the last year or so and is thus quite rare. Overall condition is quite good with the heliblade intact. HOWEVER There is a badly added LC19 pennant on both sides of the hull. Triang code M784 60+ years old This is about 5.5 inches long.
