This is a painted and complete model of HMS Conqueror, a Churchill class submarine in 1250 scale made by CNCollectables in metal. HMS Conqueror was a Churchill class nuclear submarine which served in the Navy from 1971 to 1990. She was built at Birkenhead and was the third submarine of her class, following on from the earlier Churchill and Courageous. They were designed to face the threat at sea of the Soviet Union by attacking other ships and submarines, and spying on Soviet nuclear-armed submarine movements. Length 87m 285ft Beam 10m 33ft Displacement 4900 tonnes. Crew 103 Top speed 28knots. The model is about 70mm or 2.5 inches in length. Ref S07

Here is another ship in our Falklands 40th Anniversary tribute range. This is a brand new metal 1250 scale model of HMS Endurance, a Royal Navy ice patrol vessel from 1967 to 1991. She had a bright red hull, as is common for polar vessels to aid visibility but otherwise uncommon for the Royal Navy, so her crew nicknamed her The Red Plum. Endurance was equipped with a signals listening suite on top of the hangar. She also carried two Wasp helicopters. Cat ref N71 Length of the model is 75mms or about 3 inches.

Here is another new ship model for 2022. This is a brand new metal 1250 scale model of the Cable Ship Iris as adapted in 1982 in the Falklands. She was built for the Post Office Corporation by Robb Caledon in 1976. She was 3872 tons gross and 97metres long. After being fitted with a larger helicopter deck, CS Iris left Devonport for Ascension to transport stores from there to the Falkland Islands. During seven months of active service CS Iris steamed over 45,000 miles and was involved in over 800 helicopter operations in a period of 74 days. The model is 78mms or 3inches in length.

Here is a hand made and painted model of USS Langley carrier, the first American Aircraft Carrier. Built in 1920 and later converted to a seaplane carrier in 1939 and served in the Pacific. Scale is 1/1250. It is made of resin with metal detail by Mountford Models Size is 160 mms or 6 inches long .ref MM157. Pack of planes too. -
Here is another of our Falklands 40th Anniversary tribute range. This is a detailed brand new hand made metal waterline model of HMS Coventry D118, a Type 42 Batch One Sheffield Class Guided Missile Destroyer. She was 4820 tons and armed with a 4.5inch gun, Sea Dart, Torpedoes and a Lynx helicopter. She was 410ft or 125metres in length. There were 270 crew.
On 25th May HMS Coventry was hit by three bombs causing 19 deaths and 30 were badly injured. Major systems were destroyed and in 20 minutes she capsized and sank. She is a war grave on the sea bed. Our model is part of our commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands Conflict. For reasons of identifying the model in a fleet we have included her pennant number as well as the black line and the St Georges Flag which were part of the ID recognition. We realise that in the Falklands her pennant number was painted over but think that this is a better model for a collection or memory. We are also offering Gift Sets with various combinations.
