This is a model from the First series of Triang Minic ships which were made from 1958 to 1964. The Royal Yacht Britannia in Hospital mode. Yes the Queen's Royal Yacht was designed to be easily converted to a hospital ship in times of conflict. Just over 4 inches long, 105mm. This example is in very good condition on the port side and superstructure, she also has 3 masts but on the port side there are large missign chips of paint. Triang code M721/721A our ref L824 -

This is a model from the First Series of Triang Minic ships which were made from 1958 to 1964. This is a SUNK lightship. Placed by Trinity House where there was hidden danger to shipping, notably in the Thames estuary. Four other lightships were made in the first series and were in small cellophane bags packed in boxes of a dozen. Very random mix in these boxes in our experience. and of course in the modern series 3 there were four made with helidecks. Good condition, approx 1 inch in length. our ref M204 -

Condition of the model is very worn and is a good opportunity for a repaint. The plastic series 2 part has been removed from the hull making it look like a 1st series model. Here is a set of two blue tugs with red funnels from the First series of Triang Minic ships. They are in playworn condition; chipped paint of the hulls but good tops. 60+ years old

Part of the third series of Triang Minic Ships. Here are two sets of steam tugs in cards, one red and one blue funnelled making a total of four tugs for the harbour. They are supplied by the manufacturer in boxes of 24 with half red and half blue, hence the two codes of A and B Triang Minic Code P670 A and P 670B. -
P840 Type 42 Destroyer - Batch 1 - HMS Glasgow - Limited edition! D88This limited edition ship is in mint condition, but unboxed.
The querk is that on the underside it does say HMS Newcastle, when in fact it is Glasgow. The heli deck is wrong too but this is the way they were made.
I have very few of these for sale, and also the reciprocal ships with the wrong name on the underside, HMS Cardiff and HMS Newcastle. In the limited edition this was a production error but Triang were unable to re-release the ships with correct pennant and casting. These were supplied to me by Triang many years later in a tidy up of their warehouse. We are about out of stock of the 2014 carded Glasgows too .

This is a model from the second series of Minic ships made by Hornby in the 70's This is SS United States, the Holder of the Blue Riband at various times for the fastest travel cross the Atlantic She is 10 inches long or 250mm. The model is in reasonable condition . The funnel fins are intact the front mast is present but the deck has been overpainted a mauve colour. A bit dusty too.
