This is a model from the First Series of Triang Minic ships which were made between 1958 and 1964. HMS Superb cruiser in grey. The ship is playworn. She is 6 inches long or 140mm. Great ships to have in a fleet. Minic code M 762. Our ref W221 This is the Tri-ang Minic Ships model of HMS Swiftsure one of a proposed class of eight Light Cruisers, known as the Minotaur Class, which were ordered under the 1941 and 1942 Warship Construction Programmes. The design was modified after the first two ships, HMS Swiftsure and HMS Minotaur, were laid down in 1941 as a result of which these two ships became known as the "Group 1" ships. The "Group 2" ships, sometimes referred to as the Superb Class, included HMS Superb of which Tri-ang Minic Ships also produced a model. The models of HMS Swiftsure and HMS Superb were identical distinguished only by the model number and name marked on the underside. -

This is a model from the second series of Triang Minic ships made in the 70s under the Hornby name. This is SS United States, holder of the Blue Riband at various times for the fastest travel cross the Atlantic. A great liner from the age of transatlantic luxury. She is 10 inches long or 250mm. 1st Series Cunard cruise liner RMS Caronia M701
This is a model from the first series of Triang Minic Ships made between 1958 and 1964. Known and loved as a beautiful cruise liner this was the first model produced by Triang all those years ago. Code M701. This example is immaculate apart from the funnel which has deteriorated as if some sellotape has been applied. The ship has no marks and there is the mast in a packet in the box. The box is generally quite good, some storage wear. The ship is about 6 inches long. Or 15cms. Our ref T25 -

Here is the Cunard liner RMS IVERNIA M709. This is a model from the First series of Triang Minic ships which were made from 1958 to 1964 and she sailed between Southampton and the Americas. In played condition and some storage wear. Some derricks present. The box is good. 60 years old. This is about 6 inches long. Or 15cms.

Here is a superb mint example of RMS Amazon, a 1st Series liner Royal Mail Ship to the Southern Hemisphere. This is one of three ships made by Triang right towards the end of the range lifespan, about 1963/4 which is why these are so rare. M 718. Condition of the model is brilliant, immaculate. The good box has some light affected colour at one end. There are alas no masts. Our ref T15 -

This ship is in very good condition with virtually no wear. Most of the plastics present. This is a model from the first series of Triang Minic ships made between 1958 and 1964. Nieuw Amsterdam of Holland Amerika lines. She is 8 inches long or 200mm. Masts are included bnd are in theri original plastic bag. The Box is sound, some signs of being old as there are two ink prices on it, the original cost and the shop keeper's sum. 60 years thereabouts. Condition is very good and close to mint. There are 2 tiny marks to the bridge. A great model of a beautiful ship. Really good for a model that is now 60 years old. Triang Minic code M 706 Our reference T5. -
