  • Here is a copy of the Tri-ang Hornby  model railways catalogue from 1972, edition 18 with a fab Terence Cuneo Cover. Condition once read, some wear to the front cover edges. "Every boy deserves a Triang Hornby Train set." 35 pages Ref Railcat 17    
  • Here is a Naval Harbour  Set, M906 produced in the 70s when Hornby revived the Triang Minic Ships range.  Made in Hong Kong but all the parts are identical to the 1st and indeed the third series except for the printing underneath.  This set contains HMS Vanguard in good condition and HMS Bulwark  with good paintwork but without mast and a plane is damaged., 3 quays, four breakwaters and ends, two crane sets and oil tanks.  There is a 4 page catalogue as per photos and a harbour plan. Overall this is almost a complete set and in good condition. The contents are in good condition.   The box has rips and part missing.  The artwork is good. our ref Set 7
  • Here is an Ocean Terminal Boxed Set produced in the 70s when Hornby revived the Triang Minic Ships range.  Made in Hong Kong but all the parts are identical to the 1st and indeed the third series except for the printing underneath.  This set contains  RMS Queen Mary, two tugs, an ocean terminal and extension, five quay straights a customs shed and a crane set, three end pieces and 2 breakwater straights. The contents are in good playworn condition but the Queen Mary has both masts and is mint.  The box front cover is another attractive piece of artwork based on Southampton and is  showing some wear. It shows a different aspect of the Queen Mary. The rest of the box is well worn hence the photos to show this. So more a set to use rather than as a collector's item. Triang ref M902  Our ref set 8.

    Here is another Ocean Terminal Set, M902 produced in the 70s when Hornby revived the Triang Minic Ships range.  Made in Hong Kong but all the parts are identical to the 1st and indeed the third series except for the printing underneath. All of the items are included and in excellent to mint condition. The box has been shrink wrapped inside. This set contains the Queen Mary,  5 quays, an ocean terminal and an extension terminal, two breakwaters, two links and an end with lighthouse, a crane set, customs shed and  two tugs .   There is a 2 sided harbour plan. There are two lids with this set with two different artworks showing the Queen forwards and sternwards. These in our opinion are worthy of being framed and put on a wall. our ref Set 30

Also one tug.  There is a 4 page catalogue as per photos and a harbour plan. Overall this is almost a complete set and in good condition. The contents are in good condition.   The box is quite good with some wear but displayable. The artwork shows the Queen stern  forwards as she arrives at the dock. our ref Set 16

    Triang Minic Series 1 Royal Navy Carrier Task Group boxed set M893 with Albion as carrier

    Here is a rare example of M983, the Royal Navy Carrier Task Group Set, part of the 1st Series of Triang Minic Ships.. Produced around 1959/60 and containing models of HMS Albion, a ton class minesweeper, a V class frigate and a cruiser.  All the models are secured by a single thread. There are HMS Swiftsure, Virago and Sefton. All the ships are as left the factory.. The ships are blue. The inner lining of sea effect card is almost mint. The outer box in which it sits is excellent. The lid cover has some wear and damage to the corners.  The colouring of the classic design is good overall. 60 years on they are rare and an attractive collectable which captures the spirit of that time..

  •  Here is a harbour item from the amazing 1st series of Triang Minic Ships, 1956-64.  M857  sea sheet in used good condition. There's some white paint spots on one fold a slight tear on an edge. Otherwise it's pretty good and over 60 years old.  Yes it is a lot like a shower curtain. This is 26 x 26inches  or just over 600mms square.   Library photo.  Ref Sea1
  •                                                     Trinity House support ship MV Galatea THV Galatea was launched in 2006 for Trinity House and her home port is Harwich. She  serves the automatic lighthouses, buoys and beacons along the coasts of England, Wales and the Channel Islands. Galatea provides aids to navigation for the safe passage of mariners, including maintenance work, buoy deployment, wreck location marking and towing. She is also able to carry out additional tasks such as hydrographic surveying and wreck finding and contract commercial work. She is also equipped for: lifting, towing and accurate positioning of marine equipment, sea trials of electronic and speciality equipment, helicopter support, safety boat assignments and guard duties for cable and pipe laying projects. Galatea and her sister ship, Pharos were built by Remontowa of Gdansk, Poland  in 2006/07. She is 85metres in length, 3599 gross tonnes and has 7 officers and 11 crew. I saw her in 2019 in the Bristol Channel outside Ilfracombe harbour and thought that she and her sister would be a good addition to any ship collection. Super model. Catalogue ref M02, This model is 70mm or 2.5 inches in length

This is one of our Accessory Packs which are compatible with items from the Triang Minic Series 1.  Each item is newly mastered and made. This is a pair of pier shelters.  Code CM07S.  This is new, made of metal, painted and lacquered inside a plastic bag and stapled onto a card. 

    We also plan to release some of these as Collectors' items in a sealed bubble.   The tradition marches on.


  • This is a pair of painted and complete models of the Redoubtable class nuclear powered submarine  of the French Maritim one of our four French submarine models.  There were six boats in this class and Redoubtable is preserved as a Museum Boat at Cherbourg. They are just over 4inches long or 105mm ref subs 24
