This is a brand new metal 1250 scale model of the Cable laying ship Monarch.  She was built for the Post Office Corporation by Robb Caledon in 1976.  In the livery of Cable and Wireless.   She was 3872 tons gross and 97metres long.  Length is 78mms or 3 inches .  This is a small run of this model. First  is the SKJOLD  Class  of the Norwegian Navy which is 73ms in length and 640tonnes. The model is 60mm or 2.4inches in length. Second is the KLEWANG Class  of the Indonesian Navy. Length 51metres and 250tonnes.  The model is 42mms or 1.5 inches in length. Third is the SEA SHADOW of the United States Navy which is 43m and 240tonnes. The model is 33mms or 1.3inches. Made in metal, hand painted and finished. There will  be three more sets with another nine different stealth ships during the year. Posted all over the world with tracked postage.
  • Here are two Arkitex kits made by Triang Spot On back in the 60s? There are loads of  photos to show what there is. The box lid of one has much damage.   SET no A looks to be complete, lots of pieces. The box front is classic design and good, the sides are complete but with open corners. A little wear as you would expect to the edges. SET Junior B. has two intact grey plastic bases and a small one with has some damage to it. The rest of the box is full of yellow pieces and clear plastic ones. The front lid has significant wear in that it has been nibbled away.  Really best for parts. We really dont know the value of these kits so we are open to ideas and offers as one lot.   We have had these for ages so there is no hurry.

  • This is a brand new metal 1250 scale model of HMS Endurance, a Royal Navy ice patrol vessel from 1967 to 1991.   She had a bright red hull, as is common for polar vessels to aid visibility but otherwise uncommon for the Royal Navy, so her crew nicknamed her The Red PlumEndurance was equipped with a signals listening suite on top of the hangar.  This is the peacetime version with A171 on her hull..  Cat ref N71x   Length of the model is 75mms or about 3 inches.

    Here is an assembled and painted  resin model of the York Class cruiser,  HMS Exeter.  Famous for her role in the Battle of the River Plate.  She is about 5+ inches or 140mm in length.   It isnt pennanted so could be any one of the class.  Catalogue number N188.

  • Here is our brand new hand made metal 1250 scale model of  the RFA oiler tanker Blue Rover, A270. Built on the Tyne in 1969/70 she was 11522  tons fully laden, 451  ft or 14o metres in length and with a crew of 47. She is 110mms or 4inches in length and hopefully the photos show the detailed deck equipment. This is the last of our many models made to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Falklands conflict.

    This is a model from the first series of Triang Minic Ships made between 1958 and  1964.  Known and loved as a beautiful cruise liner this was the first model produced by Triang all those years ago. M701 In very nice condition 60 years old This is about 6 inches long. Or 15cms.  Our ref M13

This is RMS Queen Mary of Cunard Lines, Holder of the Blue Riband at various times for the fastest travel cross the Atlantic She is 10 inches long or 250mm.  The model is in good condition with some slight  marks. Triang Minic code M 703.   • Here is another Ocean Terminal Set, M902 produced in the 70s when Hornby revived the Triang Minic Ships range.  Made in Hong Kong but all the parts are identical to the 1st and indeed the third series except for the printing underneath.  This set contains Queen Mary in good condition (one mast fixed and one loose), 5 quays, ocean terminal and extension pieces, two breakwaters and ends. crane set and customs shed. Also one tug.  There is a 4 page catalogue as per photos and a harbour plan. Overall this is almost a complete set and in good condition. The contents are in good condition.   The box is quite good with some wear but displayable. The artwork shows the Queen stern  forwards as she arrives at the dock. our ref Set 16  
  • Here is a Naval Harbour  Set, M906 produced in the 70s when Hornby revived the Triang Minic Ships range.  Made in Hong Kong but all the parts are identical to the 1st and indeed the third series except for the printing underneath.  This set contains HMS Vanguard in good condition and HMS Bulwark  with good paintwork but without mast and a plane is damaged., 3 quays, four breakwaters and ends, two crane sets and oil tanks.  There is a 4 page catalogue as per photos and a harbour plan. Overall this is almost a complete set and in good condition. The contents are in good condition.   The box has rips and part missing.  The artwork is good. our ref Set 7

Her mast is taped under the deck for protection.  She is 7 inches long or 190mm. Minic code M 751, our ref  C401 This is the Tri-ang Minic Ships model of HMS Bulwark one of a class of four Light Fleet Carriers laid down at the end of the Second World War and commissioned during the 1950's. Tri-ang Minic produced identical models of HMS Bulwark, HMS Centaur and HMS Albion. The model of HMS Bulwark is distinguished by the model number and name marked on the underside and the deck code 'B'

    Triang Minic Series 1 Royal Navy Carrier Task Group boxed set M893 with Albion as carrier

    Here is a rare example of M983, the Royal Navy Carrier Task Group Set, part of the 1st Series of Triang Minic Ships.. Produced around 1959/60 and containing models of HMS Albion, a ton class minesweeper, a V class frigate and a cruiser.  All the models are secured by a single thread. There are HMS Swiftsure, Virago and Sefton. All the ships are as left the factory.. The ships are blue. The inner lining of sea effect card is almost mint. The outer box in which it sits is excellent. The lid cover has some wear and damage to the corners.  The colouring of the classic design is good overall. 60 years on they are rare and an attractive collectable which captures the spirit of that time..

  • This is a model from the First Series of Triang Minic ships which were made from 1958 to 1964. This is a SUNK lightship. Placed by Trinity House where there was hidden danger to shipping, notably in the Thames estuary.  Four other lightships were made in the first series and were in small cellophane  bags packed in boxes of a dozen. Very random mix in these boxes in our experience. and of course in the modern series 3 there were four made with helidecks. Good condition, approx 1 inch in length. our  ref M204
  • These are models from the First series of Triang Minic ships which were made from 1958 to 1964. This is a model of the Varne Lightship which was sited in the Dover Straight near the Varne sandbank.  Trinity House still maintains an automatic vessel on the same  site today.   Good condition but the light is wonky and needs straightening a bit.   Approx 1 inch in length.     Rothesay Class frigate 1250 scale painted resin model with no pennant.

    This is a painted and complete resin model with metal detail of a Rothesay Class frigate (type 12M).   She was 2600 tons, 370ft or 110 m in length. Max speed 30knots.  Arms included Sea Cat missiles, 4.5inch guns and a helicopter.  This is a recently assembled model in 1250 scale. CNC Catalogue number N57-X  No pennant.

    This is about 3.8 inches or 92mm long.  In its own box.

  • Here is a highly detailed model of the Altmark a German WW2 supply ship to the Graf Spee pocket battleship. With  black funnel. Scale is 1/1250. It is made of resin with metal detail by Mountford Models  and we have recently assembled and painted this in 2024.   Size is 160 mms or 6 inches long .ref M28

  • From time ot time I have a sort out of CDs and other music to pass on to others. This is a strange one. I so wanted this album from the brilliant John Jones that I bought it twice! So it is sealed and unopened. Never Stop Moving by John Jones, on his own but with some familiar backing musicians. John is one of the best people as are all the Oysterband for taking folk music and young musicians to so many audiences. I have only been to Canada once and the Oysterband were on in Toronto. ref CD06
