This is a model from the second series of Triang Minic ships made in the 70s under the Hornby name. This is SS United States, holder of the Blue Riband at various times for the fastest travel cross the Atlantic. A great liner from the age of transatlantic luxury. She is 10 inches long or 250mm. The model is boxed and has not been removed at all. These boxes do show wear but this example is as good as it gets. Triang Minic code M 704. Our ref X960 -
1st Series Cunard cruise liner RMS Caronia M701
This is a model from the first series of Triang Minic Ships made between 1958 and 1964. Known and loved as a beautiful cruise liner this was the first model produced by Triang all those years ago. Code M701. This example is immaculate apart from the funnel which has deteriorated as if some sellotape has been applied. The ship has no marks and there is the mast in a packet in the box. The box is generally quite good, some storage wear. The ship is about 6 inches long. Or 15cms. Our ref T25 -
Triang Minic Ships first series, the TSS Vikingen so 60 years old. This was a mother ship for the whaling fleet. Length is nearly 5 inches or 125mms. This ship is in very good condition with virtually no wear. Most of the plastics present. The box which originally came with more than one of these is sound, looks old but is generally good for its age. Triang code M 733. Our code T3 -
This is a model from the first series of Triang Minic ships made between 1958 and 1964. Nieuw Amsterdam of Holland Amerika lines. She is 8 inches long or 200mm. Masts are included bnd are in theri original plastic bag. The Box is sound, some signs of being old as there are two ink prices on it, the original cost and the shop keeper's sum. 60 years thereabouts. Condition is very good and close to mint. There are 2 tiny marks to the bridge. A great model of a beautiful ship. Really good for a model that is now 60 years old. Triang Minic code M 706 Our reference T5. -
